Meet your coach

Alexander Hahn

A Montgomery County native with a passion for helping athletes reach the highest level they can, without spending their season on the sideline.

CSCSCertified Strength & Conditioning Specialist NSCA-CPTCertified Personal Trainer PTALicensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Alex grew up playing on the same MoCo fields he coaches on today. His strength and conditioning work is backed by years spent helping injured athletes rebuild, which means every sprint drill, jump and cut he programs is chosen with one eye on performance and the other on keeping you healthy enough to use it.

He works with a small roster so every athlete gets his full attention: an in-person session each month, and programming that adjusts every week based on what he sees.

Who I train

Every athlete gets the same standard

Whether you are twelve and chasing a travel-team spot, coming back from an injury, or an adult who still wants to compete, the coaching is built around your sport and your body.

Why the field

Train where you compete

Field athletes do not get faster on machines. Sessions happen on Montgomery County's turf and grass fields, so acceleration, deceleration and change of direction are measured in the conditions you actually play in.

Every session uses timing gates, video and a jump profile so progress is a number you can see, not a feeling. Bring cleats and water; Alex brings everything else.

How it works

Three steps from first message to full speed

1

Message Alex

Use the form below, or call, text or email. Tell him a little about the athlete: age, sport, and what you'd like to work on.

2

Have a quick call

Alex gets back to you within a day to talk through goals, answer questions, and recommend the right program. No pressure, no sales pitch.

3

Get on the field

Your first session is a full movement screen: sprint mechanics, jump profile, mobility, and a plan of what to work on and why. Then the coaching starts.

Programs

Pick your level of coaching

Every program combines on-field sessions with Alex and weekly programming through the coaching app. Alex will recommend the right fit on your first call.

Results

What athletes and parents say

I have been working with Alex for 6 years, and I have played better and better each year — in that time I've earned awards from my team and league. Not only do you get the best results and workouts, you also get a great person who knows his stuff and makes sure you reach your goals.

Jarell Broxton, professional football player · Instagram

I started working with Alex after foot surgery, when I had lost confidence in what my body could do. He never approaches training as one-size-fits-all — he pays attention to how I'm feeling and adapts on the spot, so there's always a way to keep moving forward.

Tanguy Ropitault · Instagram

Alex taught me everything I know about knee stability. I've trained with him for over three years, and he's by far the best trainer I've had — better than the many others who trained me during my college days.

Questions parents ask

Good questions

Is this physical therapy?

No. Alex is a licensed PTA, and that background shapes how he coaches, but ACE Sports Performance is sports performance training, not medical treatment. If your athlete is under the care of a doctor or physical therapist, Alex will work alongside their guidance, never instead of it.

Where do sessions happen?

On turf and grass fields around Gaithersburg and Montgomery County, including South Germantown Recreational Park and Bohrer Park. Alex books the field, so all you need to do is show up.

What if it rains?

Alex makes the call two hours before the session. Weather cancellations are rescheduled at no charge.

How young is too young?

Alex works with athletes from around age 10 upward. Younger athletes focus on movement quality, coordination and confidence rather than heavy strength work.

What do I need to bring?

Cleats or turf shoes, water, and the phone the athlete (or parent) will use for the coaching app. Timing gates, cones, bands and the video setup are all provided.

How do I pay, and is there a contract?

Alex sets everything up with you directly after your first call: program, price, and payment. Programs run month to month with no long-term contract. A short waiver and, for athletes under 18, a parent consent form are completed before the first session.
